four years' ago - almost to the day - i vacated my old home in Second Life.
Cassiar had been my home sim for the better part of six years. after land parcels in the sims of Imzadi, and Skye, Cassiar was my third home on the grid.
all three had been waterfront parcels, and Skye and Cassiar were particularly influenced in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater.
after four years without a proper place to call 'home' in Second Life, i have found a parcel in the region of Seacliff. its house has been masterfully architected by Urcilnia Pyrithea.
as a sim, Seacliff has a lot of history - it was the first mainland sim to be auctioned by the Lindens, and was featured in Second Life: the official guide, first published in 2007. in that book, the feature shared how the sim showcased the works of early residents such as Eddie Escher, Fallingwater Cellardoor, and Reitsuki Kojima.
sadly, their prims are no longer within the sim, but i have re-set the parcel's landing point to be what it had been those thirteen or more years' ago, as a tribute to these pioneers of Second Life.
feel free to visit, and i have set two rez zones in the southeast and southwest corners of the sim from which you may explore the many other historic sims in the vicinity :-)
