the 6th international conference of the Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN) 2020

through God's grace, i have been invited as one of the International Chairs for next year's conference of the Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN).

iLRN 2020 will be held from the 21st to the 25th of June, at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo :-)

the conference theme is: Vision 20/20: Hindsight, Insight, and Foresight in XR and Immersive Learning.

to elaborate: iLRN 2020 is the premier scholarly event focusing on advances in the use of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and other extended reality (XR) technologies to support learners across the full span of learning—from K-12 through higher education to work-based, informal, and lifelong learning contexts.

Maker Motes introduced to the 2019 cohort of the Leaders in Education Programme

this morning, our team was extremely privileged to have been invited to collaborate with members of the Educational Technology Division (ETD), Ministry of Education, as part of the curriculum for this year's cohort of the Leaders in Education Programme (LEP), National Institute of Education.

we worked with our friends from the ETD to introduce the LEP participants to our Maker Motes approach to the design of STEM curriculum.

we would like to take the opportunity to thank the leadership team of the ETD for so graciously extending their trust to us.

Learner-Generated Augmentation as an approach to Chemistry Education with Augmented Reality: first session!

one of the best things about working at the National Institute of Education is getting to interact with all the really committed teachers here, of all ages.

today was no exception.

as part of our team's collaboration with faculty from the Natural Sciences & Science Education Academic Group that i wrote about two months' ago, i am very happy to share a photo from the very first session with the student-teachers :-) the lesson was so ably facilitated by Dr Peter Lee :-)
