Six months’ ago, i shared a Call for Papers for a Special Issue of the Journal of Virtual Worlds Research, themed on ‘Pedagogy - taking stock and looking forward’.
It was a tremendous privilege to be the Guest Editor for this issue, in collaboration with co-editor Dr Catia Ferreira, of the Portuguese Catholic University.
The issue has been especially meaningful to me because it marked the tenth anniversary of a landmark issue of the journal, namely Volume 2 Number 1, which was themed on ‘Pedagogy’. That issue was helmed by the late Dr Leslie Jarmon, and she taught me a great deal about how to be a worthy issue editor.
Leslie was a friend and mentor to so many of us in the virtual worlds fraternity, and i would like to dedicate the publication of the two-part tenth anniversary issue to her memory and life’s work.
The anniversary issue is out and is available in two parts, namely Vol 11 No 3 and Vol 12 No 1.
The issue comprises the following papers - do enjoy reading them :-)
