this academic semester, my team and i have been facilitating the inaugural run of a course we conceptualised - AGE08D Designing learning environments with a focus on the Internet of Things.
we have been very impressed by the thought that our students have put in to their respective projects.
one group has conceptualised an inquiry-led investigation around the food sciences, while another project encourages learners to think about the site and situation of an eco-garden.
the photograph below represents another project, which was conceptualised entirely by the students and aligns very well with the Smart and Green initiatives of our parent university - the Nanyang Technological University. it is intended to lead towards more optimal energy use at the canteen of the National Institute of Education (NIE).
for each of these projects, our students and my team would like to thank the support given by NIE Senior Leadership, the staff and management of the Development & Estate Department, as well as the staff and management of the Centre for Innovation in Learning, of the NIE.
