my team and i had the distinct privilege of conducting introductory workshops for this semester’s graduating cohort of pre-service teachers from the National Institute of Education (NIE), under the institute’s Beginning Teachers’ Orientation Programme.
all told, we facilitated the following hour-long workshops:
Introduction to coding with Scratch:
- Primary School Art, Music, Physical Education, and English Language
- Primary School Physical Education, and Mathematics
Introduction to environmental sensors as a means to more authentic student-inquiry:
- Primary School Physical Education, and Mathematics
- Primary School Science; and Secondary School Physical Education, Science, and Mathematics
