capping off a very exciting day, my team was very graciously offered to share Disciplinary Intuitions and Maker Motes to visiting members of the Ministry of Education, Brunei.

it was a tremendous privilege, and we are very grateful to the Office of Education Research at the National Institute of Education, for facilitating so much behind the scenes.

this afternoon, my team was part of a sharing session to international delegates hosted by Marshall Cavendish, at the National Institute of Education.

we are very grateful for having been accorded the opportunity to share our Maker Motes approach to open-source STEM-based curricula design.

back in May, i blogged about my team’s Maker Motes STEM-based open-source curriculum unit detailed in a core text for pre-service teacher-trainees.

Disciplinary Intuitions / Six Learnings / Maker Motes at the Office of Education Research Learning Day :-)

the Office of Education Research at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore, will be holding its inaugural Learning Day on Monday 22nd August 2016.

the venue will be at the conference room on the ground floor of the administration block of the NIE.

the event will began at 11 am with a welcome and lunch, from noon till 2 pm visitors are welcome to engage with the Principal Investigators and their respective research teams, and there will be a tea reception at 2:30 pm.

Disciplinary Intuitions / the Six Learnings curriculum framework and Maker Motes will have its very own booth - we’d love for you to drop by if you happen to be in campus :-)

Disciplinary Intuitions / Six Learnings is the subject of the NIE Office of Education Research inaugural Research in Practice video!

through God’s grace, my team’s work on Disciplinary Intuitions / Six Learnings was chosen to be the subject of the very first Research in Practice video commissioned by the Office of Education Research at the National Institute of Education.

the video has been five months in the making, and has been expertly put together by Zing Media Pte Ltd :-)

our deep gratitude to the school leadership, teachers, and students of the two schools featured in the video, namely Bishan Park Secondary and CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’.

Disciplinary Intuitions / Maker Motes first workshop for teachers in Java, Indonesia!

This past week, my team and I collaborated closely with our partner team from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia - under the leadership of Dr Ari Widodo - to conduct the very first workshop on Maker Motes for teachers in the Bandung and Lembang areas in Java, Indonesia!
