My research team has authored a full curriculum unit around the use of open-source sensors which we have termed Maker Motes.
We are sharing this curriculum unit as a chapter in a forthcoming college-level core text to be published by Pearson in time for the August 2016 semester, here at the National Institute of Education, Singapore.
Learning science authentically through investigating the local environment will be a chapter in Technology-enhanced 21st century learning, edited by Chai, Koh, and Teo. the book will be used by pre-service teacher-trainees in the courses AED 107, QED 507, and QED 527.
