QuickTime VR on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

i'm posting this in case it helps anyone :-)

if you use QuickTime VR, please note that QuickTime X - which ships with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - does not open these files.

the most recent version of QuickTime which still opens QuickTime VR is QuickTime 7.6.3, which can be found in the 'Utilities' folder of your Mac, once you've installed Snow Leopard (i have tested this on Mac OS X 10.6.1 Snow Leopard).
