the one-hundred-and-thirtieth episode of ventriloquy introduces Highlight Tours - a Second Life tour agency set up by my friend Rafale Kamachi.
[in the interests of transparency, St Michel - the Jules Verne Museum (which i designed and built) is a destination on one of her tours]
Highlight Tours describes itself as a way to explore Second Life through stories. There are presently two tours on offer, with at least one more in the planning stages. One is a mediaeval themed tour, while the other is a museum and gallery tour.
in this 1.8 MB download, Highlight Tours is a catalyst to musings about recent and tentative moves towards (hopefully) a more taggable, folksonomic Second Life, and at an even higher level of abstraction, on the paradigms that drive folksonomies in the first place, and the implications these have on education.
[update: as of 25 February 2008, Rafale is no longer maintaining Highlight Tours. All the very best, Rafale, and thank you for the adventure!
update 2: 15 March 2008, Rafale has posted the captivating story she wrote for the museum and gallery tour on her blog :-) ]
