David Warlick has just introduced a new service, which is essentially a conference aggregator.
he calls it hitchhikr.
as you can see from his post (linked above), his main motivation (and one that i can empathise with) was to provide a way for us to be able to follow blog entries / podcasts / flickr albums (and the other what-have-you's of Web 2.0) on conferences which we've been able to attend, as well as - crucially - those which we have _not_ been able to attend.
the service has just been launched, so the DNS propagation for the URL is still ongoing (meaning access to the site may not be reliable for these first couple of days). but it's certainly an idea worth checking out and, i think, supporting.
