i think we're slowly beginning to discover and realise the true potential of RSS.
this week sees the launch of two important developments in the subscription-based web. i've already introduced David Warlick's hitchhikr conference aggregator, in my previous blog entry.
the second big thing is the so-called Podcasting Application, by Nokia. If you have some of the newer models of Nokia, you're now able to search for, subscribe and listen to podcasts right from your phone.
i feel this will be an especially big deal in East Asia, where youth culture seems to have embraced mobile telephony over players such as the iPod, to a greater degree than in the United States.
you know what's the most exciting part? i believe we're still only scratching the surface of how RSS can be used in learning environments :-)
i invite you to hear more of my thoughts on the matter in the fifty-seventh episode of ventriloquy, which is a 3.3 MB download :-)
