this fifty-fifth episode features a very special automobile - a 1938 Citroën Traction Avant.
this particular automobile is participating in this year's so-called 'Snowball Friendship Drive', which is taking place this weekend, between Penang (in Malaysia) and Singapore. the route takes the drivers through the settlements of Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Muar, Kluang and Johor Bahru.
the Traction Avant was one of the first in a long and distinguished line of large Citroëns, which includes the DS, CX and XM. it was extremely advanced in its day, being the first mass-produced front-wheel-drive car, as well as the first to feature a monocoque body construction and independent front suspension.
