Your avatar will appear at the SS Galaxy Community Gateway, which is an Orientation area approved by Linden Lab (the company behind the Second Life virtual world).
The SS Galaxy is a full-scale, full-service replica of a cruise liner in Second Life, and is home to an active and vibrant sea-faring community where you can quickly feel at home and make new friends :-)
The ship's Orientation area has been carefully designed to provide a safe and secure place in which new avatars can learn the basics of Second Life, such as the different ways of moving around and getting from place to place, as well as the fundamentals of the in-world economy of goods and services. The Orientation area is manned by a hand-picked multi-lingual crew drawn from several time-zones around the globe, who stand ready to help you with your questions :-)
